Terms and Conditions

1. QUOTATION

A quotation not accepted within thirty (30) days is subject to review.

2. TERMS

An advanced deposit of 50% of the subtotal is required on all custom orders. The printer will not commence work until this amount has been paid. Unless otherwise arranged, the buyer shall pay the balance due on the order when the order is shipped.

3. ORDER CANCELLATION

In the case of an order cancellation, if the print shop has already started working on the order, they shall be entitled to full reimbursement for any costs already incurred, including penalties or restocking charges. This reimbursement shall be taken from the advanced deposit and the balance refunded to the customer.

4. EXPERIMENTAL WORK

Experimental work performed at customer’s request, such as sketches, drawings or compositions will be charged at a rate of $40/hour and may be charged separately from the actual product order.

5. TURNAROUND TIMES

Our standard turnaround time is 10 business days. This is based on the day that the art proof has been approved. This timeline may vary depending on the time of the year, but your representative will inform you if turnaround may be longer or shorter than the standard required production time at time of inquiry.  Please plan for our STANDARD 10 BUSINESS DAY TURNAROUND when placing orders.

6. CUSTOMER SUPPLIED ARTWORK

Estimates for printing are based on the customer supplying same size or larger high-resolution artwork that requires no touch-ups. Additional time needed to make artwork ready shall be billed at a rate of $40/Hour.  It is highly likely that all graphics taken from a website will have to be touched up. Please inquire if in doubt about charges.  Please visit our Graphics Guidelines for more details.

7. PROOFS

Digital proofs will be created for your approval. If corrections are needed these corrections must be clearly written out and emailed to your sales representative. Revised proofs will be made and returned for a final approval. We regret any errors that may occur through production undetected, but cannot be held responsible for errors if the work is printed per customer’s approval. The printer shall not be responsible for errors if the customer has failed to return proofs with indication of changes or has instructed the printer to proceed without submission of proofs. If proofs are not verified within 36 hours, the order will be deemed "on hold" and this may alter the delivery date.

8. COLOUR PROOFING

Because of differences in equipment, garments, inks and other conditions between colour proofing and production pressroom operations, a reasonable variation in colour between colour proofs and completed job shall constitute acceptable delivery.

9. OVERRUNS OR UNDERRUNS

Overruns or underruns not to exceed 3% on quantities ordered and/or the percentage agreed upon over or under quantities ordered shall constitute acceptable delivery. The printer will bill for actual quantity delivered within this tolerance.

10. INVENTORY AVAILABILITY

As we do not keep inventory and all items are bought from 3rd parties we cannot guarantee that inventory will be available at the time of order.  If the item you are looking for is not available at the time of order your service representative will assist you in finding a similar product or let you know when inventory will be replenished.

11. DELIVERY

Unless otherwise discussed orders will be shipped by UPS.  Race Merchandise Inc. will not be held responsible for delays that occur during the shipping process.

12. PRODUCTION SCHEDULES

Production schedules will be established and adhered to by customer and printer, provided that neither shall incur any liability or penalty or delays due to strikes, accidents, acts of God or other causes beyond the control of customer or printer.

13. GENERAL WARRANTY

Although our printers use quality materials, due to the wide variation in laundering conditions and detergents, the printer does not guarantee against fading or shrinkage of garments during laundering.

14. DYE LOT

Due to the practice of batch processing knitted goods when they are dyed, the printer cannot guarantee consistency of colour on garments from dye lot to dye lot or from one order to the next.

15. DYE MIGRATIONS/BLEEDING

For many synthetic materials it is common for colour migration to effect the silk screen print. It is most notable with white inks on shirt colors like red, navy, maroon and even dark greens. It may appear immediately when the shirts exit the oven, when they are left to sit overnight or even two weeks later.  Knowing this, a special ink is used as a base print, this should midigate this issue, however, because there are so many different types of garments from many suppliers we cannot guarantee against dye migration.

16. REJECTS

Buyer shall have the right to purchase reject material at a reduced cost to be determined by the printer.  If buyer provided the goods he/she shall be entitled to all rejects. Reject rates on buyer’s goods shall be within expected industry standards. The printer shall not be obligated to purchase rejects from buyer unless a specific reject rate ceiling is agreed to in writing.

 17. CUSTOMER SUPPLIED GARMENTS

Unless otherwise noted, all items shall be “bulk” packaged.  If the customer supplies their own garments and they are individually bagged then a unbagging fee of $1 per item will be added to the final invoice.  Race Merchandise Inc will not be held responsible for any damages to the product during the printing/embroidering process.

GENERAL TERMS

We strongly urge customers to leave some room between the time they order, and the time they require the order to be ready. Although our general delivery time is 10 business days, delays in proofing, courier delivery, and other uncontrollable events can occur. No order is considered placed until we have received all related order information and confirmation of payment, along with the artwork. Once an order is placed, it cannot be modified unless work has not begun or stock has not been arranged. All orders are deemed complete within 3% of order quantity and billed accordingly. It is highly recommended that you order extra shirts as low quantity reorders may be expensive.
